The actress’ recent appearance at the Lakme India Fashion Week in Mumbai has triggered a controversy where a man named Eklavya Singh, who is a member of the Hind Rakshak Sangathan and son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur, has filed a complaint against the actress for her look at the prestigious fashion show. In the complaint, Singh has alleged that Taapsee Pannu wore a revealing outfit while adorning temple jewellery with Goddess Laxmi’s statue in the locket. An official was quoted in ANI reports, opening up about the complaint registered against the actress saying, “We received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur (son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur) against actor Taapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments and image of ‘Sanatan Dharma’ by wearing a locket having ‘Goddess Laxmi’ with revealing dress during ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week held on March 12 in Mumbai.” The officials have asserted that investigation of the matter in currently in process. Shiv Thakare opens up about a casting couch experience where he was being taken to a ‘massage center’

From being a simple guy from Amravati to now a popular reality show star, Shiv Thakare has been making his slow yet steady way into the world of Indian entertainment industry. But the former Bigg Boss contestant has definitely faced his fair share of struggles and Thakare, recently opened up about casting couch experiences, which has been a prominent challenge in this industry. He recalled a meeting with a casting director, where he was taken to a ‘massage centre’. In the past, many celebrities have opened up about #MeToo and casting couch experiences, which according to many, is quite rampant in the industry. Revealing about one such incident, Shiv Thakare said that how once the casting director had invited him to a ‘massage center’ after his audition. The reality show star recalled the experience in a Hindustan Times report, saying, "I once went for an audition in Aram Nagar, and he took me to the bathroom and said, ‘Yaha pe massage centre hai’. I didn’t get the connection between an audition and a massage centre. He told me, ‘Ek baar aap aao yaha audition ke baad. Aap workout bhi karte ho...’ I just left the place, since he was a casting director and I didn’t want to take any pangas. I am no Salman Khan.” Besides that, he also remembered yet another incident where a woman invited him to audition for a role at 11pm. Although he didn’t quite like the sound of it, and refused to meet her at an odd time, he revealed in the interview, “Itna bhola toh nahi hoon main ki (I am not that naïve that) I won’t understand what auditions happen at night. So, I told her that I have some work and I cannot make it. To this, she said, ‘Kaam Nahi karna? (don’t you wanna work?)’ ‘You won’t get work in the industry’ and other such things.” He further went on to add how these people would ‘demotivate’ and ‘manipulate’ strugglers in order to get what they want. Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Seth announce pregnancy: Expecting their first child!

Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Seth are undoubtedly one of the most favourite couples in the entertainment industry. Pathaan director Siddharth Anand opens up on ‘Besharam Rang’ controversy; says he chose orange bikini “randomly”

The ‘Besharam Rang’ controversy arose when a few fringe groups called for a boycott of the film Pathaan after objections were raised over the colour of Deepika Padukone's bikini in the song. Many demanded that the song be removed or the colour of the costume be changed. However, the makers did not make any changes, and the film was eventually released to positive reviews from the audience. Speaking of the same, director Siddharth Anand shared the story behind choosing an orange colour bikini. It all happened during the News18 Rising India summit 2023. While addressing the issue, Siddharth stated that he chose the costume “randomly” and “never gave it too much thought.” He asserted, “The colour was looking nice. It was sunny, the grass was greener and the water was blue and the orange colour was looking good.” Anand further explained, “We thought when the audience would watch it they would understand that our intent was not wrong.” As he continued, Siddharth mentioned that “they were not scared” while calling the boycott “white noise.” He was quoted saying, “We knew that there was nothing objectionable in our film.” According to Siddharth, he would not hold the audience accountable for their initial reaction to the controversy since they had not seen the film at that point. He expressed gratitude for the audience's overwhelming response to the film, stating that they had shown great support by flocking to theatres to watch it. Concluding his take, the 44-year-old director said, “They (the audience) proved the whole boycott movement wrong. And when you are calling for a boycott of a star or a movie, you are not seeing how many people’s livelihood is dependent on that particular movie especially if it works. At least three hundred people work on a film every day. And when the shoot gets over so many VFX artists work on the post-production. Ayan Mukerji says Brahmastra 2 and 3 will be shot simultaneously, sequel to release in 2026: ‘We will write it better without comprising it’

Following years of wait and much anticipation, Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt released in the theatres on September 9, 2022. While the visual spectacle collected Rs. 257.44 cr in India, the film is the first installment in the Ayan Mukerji-directed trilogy. The director has now revealed that they plan to shoot the sequels simultaneously with an aim to release the second part in 2026. At the News18 Rising India summit in New Delhi, Ayan Mukerji said, “We will make Brahmastra 2 and 3 together. The truth is we are going to take a little bit of time to write it. I know there’s a lot of anticipation.” He added, “People want the (second part of the film) film to come out. But pehle achchi tarah se likhenge without compromising it. I think it will be about three years from now before we see Brahmastra 2 on the big screen." While Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva might have been successful at the box office, it did draw criticism for its weak dialogues which were penned by Hussain Dalal. The filmmaker acknowledged the criticism by saying, “We did get some mixed reactions. We still did really good numbers. A lot of people accepted our film. It also did well when it came out on streaming (platform). It’s probably the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022. But I still hear that criticism very clearly.” He further said, “The thing is I accept and agree with some of it. Some of that criticism came down to some aspects related to the writing and story of Brahmastra. I want to understand these things and make part two better.” Brahmastra also had a cameo of Shah Rukh Khan, with Mouni Roy playing the antagonist. Amitabh Bachchan cannot wait to get back to shooting

The process of healing after Amitabh Bachchan’s recent injury on the sets of Nag Ashwin’s Project K in Hyderabad, is taking longer than expected. “Even when the ribs are repaired, he won’t be allowed to shoot for a while,” says a close family friend. Mr Bachchan who will turn 81 in October, is raring to get back on his feet. “He is getting extremely restless. It’s been three weeks since he has been advised complete bedrest. He’s done with his quota of binge-watching and reading. He wants to get back to shooting ASAP, which doctors have advised him against,” the family friend reveals. It is likely that the mega-star, known to have suffered near-fatal accidents and illnesses in the past, would get back on his feet and resume shooting against doctors’ advice. In an interview in the past Mr Bachchan had said this writer, “It is only when I am at work shooting that I feel a complete sense of being alive. Salman Khan Threat Case: Dhakad Ram Bishnoi arrested in Jodhpur by Mumbai Police

Over a week ago, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's security was beefed up by the Mumbai Police after one of his associates, Jordy Patel, received a threat via an email. His close friend Prashant Gunjalkar filed a complaint regarding the same and a case was registered at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and a person named Rohit Garg under IPC sections 506(2),120(b) & 34. Now, Mumbai Police has arrested a man named Dhakad Ram Bishnoi in Jodhpur in connection with the email threatening case. As per reports, Dhakad Ram Bishnoi (21) is a resident of Siyagon ki Dhani in Rohicha Kalan village in Jodhpur. He was reportedly out on bail under the Arms Act. Gaurav Yadav, Jodhpur’s DCP (West), said that a team from Mumbai’s Bandra Police had arrived to arrest him. “They asked us to assist them in detaining Bishnoi. We provided them with the support and handed Bishnoi over to the Mumbai PoliceYadav said, as reported by PTI on Sunday. "After a detailed technical investigation into the case, police got information about the accused person's whereabouts, following which a team was sent to Rajasthan and the man was apprehended," a police official said. According to a previous report in PTI, a police official said that “two Assistant Police Inspector (API)-rank officers and eight to ten constables will be part of Khan's security detail round the clock.” The official also added that fans won’t be allowed to assemble outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra. It was earlier reported that Y-plus security has been provided to Salman Khan by the police. He will also travel in bullet-proof car with his personal security detail. Additional security measures have also been given to the actor. As per reports, a person named Rohit Garg allegedly issued the threat and mentioned Goldy Brar, Canadian gangster's name, saying the latter wants to meet the actor in person. Recently, Lawrence Bishnoi also allegedly said that killing Salman is his life's goal. In a recent report shared by ABP News, Bishnoi was quoted saying, “There is anger in our society for Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him but he did not apologize. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else.” He went on to add that he has been harboring the feeling of hatred ever since childhood. Bishnoi continued, “Will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to our deity’s temple and apologize. Bhumi made her first appearance in her new role at the launch of the flagship magazine, Inspiring India. Priyanka Chopra makes a gaffe by calling RRR a ‘Tamil’ film after Dax Shepard calls SS Rajamouli's directorial a Bollywood movie; netizens call out her mistake

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has been busy with the promotions of her upcoming Prime Video series Citadel, has ardently supported filmmaker SS Rajamouli for his movie RRR. The film had all the buzz around the Oscars and eventually, the film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards. She even attended a special screening in LA and hosted Ram Charan and his family her home. So when the actress made a blunder about the film’s language and called it a Tamil movie on Dax Shepard’s podcast, netizens were left surprised. Priyanka Chopra Jonas reveals she froze her eggs in early 30s’; says, “The biological clock is for real”

After becoming a global star, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas last year became a mother. She and her husband Nick Jonas welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy after three years of marriage. Ever since Malti Marie Jonas’ birth, the actress has often been very vocal about embracing motherhood. Recently, speaking on the same note she revealed that she froze her eggs much before meeting Nick, at the suggestion of her mother Madhu Chopra.  It all happened during her interaction with Dax Shepherd. She asserted, “I always knew I wanted kids and that was one of the reasons I didn’t want to date Nick because I was like I don’t know if he would want kids at 25. I love kids, I have worked with kids at UNICEF, I have volunteered at kids’ hospitals, I am like a kid whisperer, and I would rather spend time with children than with adults.” PeeCee further added, “I felt such freedom, I did it in my early thirties and I could continue on an ambitious warpath, I wanted to achieve and I wanted to get to a certain place in my career. Om Raut and Bhushan Kumar visit Vaishno Devi to seek blessings for Adipurush

Filmmaker Om Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar recently visited the holy Vaishno Devi temple on the occasion of Navratri and to seek blessings for their upcoming keenly awaited film Adipurush, which stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. For the unversed, Vaishno Devi is one of the foremost pilgrimage sites in India, situated in Jammu and Kashmir. Sharing more about the visit, a statement from the makers said, “Remarking the creation of universe and beginning of the world by Maa Shri Durga, Chaitra Navratri holds immense significance in the Hindu culture! Nawazuddin Siddiqui files Rs. 100 crore defamation case against his brother and estranged wife

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has moved the court for defaming and maligning his image and has filed a defamation suit against Shamas Nawab Siddiqui and former wife Aaliya Siddiqui seeking damages of Rs. 100 crores. As per current reports, the hearing will be held on March 30 by Justice RI Chagla. The suit has come after several allegations were thrown against the Kick actor after his wife accused the Siddiqui family of harassment and torture. In his suit, the actor has alleged that the allegations thrown towards him has affected his public image. In the suit that has been filed through advocate Sunil Kumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has alleged that he is unable to make any kind of appearances or attend social gatherings owing to the many accusations thrown towards him. He has alleged that these ‘misleading claims’ have impacted his career and hence, he has also requested the court to pass an order of injunction to restrict his brother and estranged wife Anjana Pandey alias Aaliya Siddiqui from making any more defamatory comments against him, along with a request added for taking down the already existing remarks and statements against him. Furthermore, in the same suit, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has also alleged that his brother has committed several fraudulent transactions which has resulted in major monetary loss for the actor. The actor has further alleged that due to misappropriation of funds, the actor currently owes a whopping amount of Rs. 37 crores to the government, after his brother failed to make some major payments. Furthermore, he has also accused his wife Aaliya Siddiqui of being an accomplice to his brother and misappropriating Rs. 21 crores. As per the given report, when Nawazuddin confronted his brother regarding the missing funds, the latter is claimed to have ‘instigated’ Nawaz’s estranged wife against the Siddiqui family, which led to her alleging that how her in-laws tortured and harassed her. Salman Khan Threat Case: Dhakad Ram Bishnoi arrested in Jodhpur by Mumbai Police

Over a week ago, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's security was beefed up by the Mumbai Police after one of his associates, Jordy Patel, received a threat via an email. His close friend Prashant Gunjalkar filed a complaint regarding the same and a case was registered at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and a person named Rohit Garg under IPC sections 506(2),120(b) & 34. Now, Mumbai Police has arrested a man named Dhakad Ram Bishnoi in Jodhpur in connection with the email threatening case. As per reports, Dhakad Ram Bishnoi (21) is a resident of Siyagon ki Dhani in Rohicha Kalan village in Jodhpur. He was reportedly out on bail under the Arms Act. Gaurav Yadav, Jodhpur’s DCP (West), said that a team from Mumbai’s Bandra Police had arrived to arrest him. “They asked us to assist them in detaining Bishnoi. We provided them with the support and handed Bishnoi over to the Mumbai PoliceYadav said, as reported by PTI on Sunday. "After a detailed technical investigation into the case, police got information about the accused person's whereabouts, following which a team was sent to Rajasthan and the man was apprehended," a police official said. According to a previous report in PTI, a police official said that “two Assistant Police Inspector (API)-rank officers and eight to ten constables will be part of Khan's security detail round the clock.” The official also added that fans won’t be allowed to assemble outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra. It was earlier reported that Y-plus security has been provided to Salman Khan by the police. He will also travel in bullet-proof car with his personal security detail. Additional security measures have also been given to the actor. As per reports, a person named Rohit Garg allegedly issued the threat and mentioned Goldy Brar, Canadian gangster's name, saying the latter wants to meet the actor in person. Recently, Lawrence Bishnoi also allegedly said that killing Salman is his life's goal. In a recent report shared by ABP News, Bishnoi was quoted saying, “There is anger in our society for Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him but he did not apologize. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else.” He went on to add that he has been harboring the feeling of hatred ever since childhood. Bishnoi continued, “Will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to our deity’s temple and apologize. Salman Khan brings Pooja Hegde in place of Kareena Kapoor Khan in Pavan Putra

Released in 2015, Bajrangi Bhaijaan not only became one of the biggest hits but also a film that found mass acceptance. Starring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and child actress Harshali Malhotra, the film about the unusual bond between a simpleton Indian and a little Pakistani girl moved hearts. Last year, fans of Salman Khan had a moment of rejoice when the sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan titled Pavan Putra was announced. The thought of seeing their favourite star essay the same role again was reason enough to excite them. But there was no update on the project following the announcement. But now, Bollywood Hungama has learnt that Salman has brought Pooja Hegde on board for Pavan Putra. In other words, the film will see her replacing Kareena Kapoor. Whether Pooja will play the same character that Kareena played in the first film is not known yet. Sonu Nigam’s father robbed of Rs. 72 lakh, FIR registered against ex-driver

Sonu Nigam’s father Agamkumar Nigam has filed an FIR (First Information Report) against his former driver for allegedly stealing Rs. 72 lakh from his residence in Mumbai. The singer's father lives at Windsor Grand building in Oshiwara, Andheri west. The alleged robbery took between March 19 and March 20. The FIR was registered by Sonu Nigam's sister Nikita who reached Oshiwara police station in the wee hours of Wednesday. As per the complaint, Agamkumar Nigam has a driver named Rehan for 8 months but was sacked from the job after his performance was unsatisfactory, as told by an official. As per a report in PTI, an official said that Agamkumar visited Nikita's home in the Versova area on March 19 for lunch. He was back at his residence after sometime. He called his daughter in the evening to inform her that “Rs 40 lakh was missing from a digital locker kept in a wooden cupboard.” Agamkumar Nigam visited his son's house the next day at 7 Bungalows for visa-related work. He returned home later that evening to find out Rs. 32 lakh were missing from the locker and that it wasn't damaged. As per the report, the official added, “Agamkumar and Nikita checked the CCTV footage of his society which showed his former driver Rehan going towards his flat with a bag on both days when he was away. Agamkumar suspects Rehan entered his flat with the help of a duplicate key and stole Rs. 72 lakh from the digital locker in the bedroom.” An FIR has been filed under the Indian Penal Code sections 380, 454 and 457 for robbery and trespassing. Akshay Kumar’s remake of Soorarai Pottru to release on September 1

The release date of the Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal starrer Hindi remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru is out. The Sudha Kongara directorial venture will be releasing in theatres on September 1 this year. Produced by Abundantia Entertainment and 2D Entertainment, the yet untitled film is tentatively called Production No. 27. Released in November 2020, Soorarai Pottru starred Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and Mohan Babu, among others. The film was also helmed by Sudha Kongara. The Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru went on floors in April 2022 in an auspicious way through the breaking of a coconut by Radhika. The video of the same was shared by Akshay back then. He had also asked his fans to suggest a title for the film. “With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it ???? Akshay Kumar starrer Hera Pheri 4 lands in legal trouble; T-Series issues public notice claiming audio and visual rights of songs

Bollywood's comedy trio is back as Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal kicked off the shoot for the third instalment of Hera Pheri in February 2023. However, the film has already landed in legal trouble. Music giant and production house T-Series has reportedly issued a public notice to the makers of Hera Pheri 4, claiming the visual and audio rights to every song in the franchise. The notice reads that the production house is the “sole and exclusive right holder of all copyright of all Music and Audio Visual Song Rights” of the franchise in all mediums. The sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), directed by Neeraj Vora, took the story forward and how the trio went from riches to rags in their quest for greed and wealth. Hera Pheri 4 is expected to take the story forward after the events of the second part. This installment is being helmed by Farhad Samji. “OTT platforms were given freedom for creativity, not obscenity,” says I&B Minister Anurag Thakur; speaks on censorship complaints

In recent years, especially during the nationwide lockdown, India witnessed a surge in the popularity of Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms, with the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar leading the way. However, with the rise of these platforms, the issue of vulgarity and obscenity in their content has led to a growing debate on the need for regulation. Speaking on the matter, once again, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur has warned OTT platforms against the usage of obscene content, and abusive language in the name of creativity. It all happened during a press conference held on Sunday. In a video, shared by Anurag Thakur himself, he asserted, “The process so far is that the producer has to resolve the received complaints at the first level. 90 to 92 per cent of the complaints are resolved by them by making necessary changes. The next level of complaint resolution is at the level of their association, where most of the complaints are resolved.” He further added, “At the last level, it comes to the level of the government, where the action is taken on the departmental committee level, according to the rules in place. But somewhere complaints have started increasing in the last few days and the department is taking it very seriously. If there is a need to make a change, we are willing to consider it.” The minister continued, “Abusive language in the name of creativity will not be tolerated. The government is serious about the complaints of increasing abusive and obscene content on OTT platforms. If there is a need to make any changes in the rules regarding this, the ministry is willing to consider that. These platforms were given freedom for creativity, not obscenity. And when someone crosses a limit, then abuse or rudeness in the name of creativity cannot be accepted at all. Mumbai police take action against gangsters Bishnoi and others for threatening Salman Khan

Not too long ago, there were reports of how Lawrence Bishnoi threatened Salman Khan and told the superstar to apologize to his community after the actor was accused of killing a blackbuck during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain. Now, adding further, a staff member of the Sultan actor’s team has found a threatening letter asking Salman to have a talk with Canadian gangster Goldie Brar, in an email that was sent by a certain Rohit Garg. Salman Khan’s manager Prashant Gunjalkar came across the email last week, which Khan had received from a certain Rohit Garg who asked the superstar to have an interaction with Goldie Garg in order to resolve his issues with Lawrence Bishnoi. Furthermore, the email was reportedly said to have been written under the presumption that Salman Khan witnessed the interview that was given by Bishnoi recently. It had the gangster threatening to kill the superstar, if he didn’t apologize for allegedly killing a blackbuck. For the unversed, the blackbuck killing case that can be traced to the late 90s, witnessed serious allegations against the superstar for allegedly hunting a rare species, which is also considered to be sacred among the Bishnoi community. Followed by the threatening email, on Saturday night, Gunjalkar contacted the Mumbai police and registered a complaint against the three names. As per a statement reportedly given by an official in Bandra police station, the authorities have taken serious cognisance of this threat, followed by which they increased the security for the superstar. And besides that, they also registered a complaint under sections 12(B) and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code, which includes charges of criminal conspiracy and intimidation. Actor-choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan, on Wednesday, took to his social media handle and dropped a video alleging that he was harassed and asked to speak in Kannada by an immigration officer at the Bengaluru international airport. Salman went on his Instagram Live to narrate the “disturbing” incident where he felt harassed by the officer. Along with the video, he shared the details of the incident in the caption as well. He tagged Kempegowda International Airport and wrote, “On my way to Dubai and I meet this immigration officer who speaks to me in Kannada .. and I in my broken Kannada try to tell him that I understand the language but can’t speak so well to which he continues to speak in Kannada and shows me my passport and points out my name and my birthplace and my father’s name and his birthplace and has the audacity to tell me that .. you and your father are born in Bangalore and u can’t speak Kannada.” The dancer-choreographer also added that when he tried to defend himself saying that he can speak Hindi instead, the officer still insisted that he could “suspect” Salman “for anything”. Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee will be coming together for the first time in one-of-its-kind Indian film Jawan that will feature a mix of South and Bollywood celebrities. With the film featuring many firsts including the Bollywood debut of Nayanthara, yet another interesting piece of news has come to light regarding the film. Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt will be coming together for this action entertainer, however, the latter will be doing a cameo. Shubhangi Atre confirms separation from husband Piyush Poorey after 19 years of marriage; says, “Some damages are beyond repair”
