Case filed against Mahesh Manjrekar for allegedly showing minors in objectionable light in Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha

Actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar has run into legal trouble after a case was registered against him over the alleged portrayal of minors in objectionable light in his upcoming film Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha. It has been alleged that the film features minors in obscene scenes. The case has been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO). Along with Mahesh, producers, Narendra, Shreyans Hirawat and NH Studioz have also been mentioned in the complaint.

Several reports suggest the case has been filed by the President of the NGO Bharatiya Stree Shakti, Seema Deshpande under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 292, 34, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Section 14 and Sections 67, 67B of the IT Act. Deshpande alleged that the film depicts sexual activities featuring minors and their aunt. Furthermore, she said that it also depicts violence involving children and the vulgar dialogues in the film. Mahesh Manjrekar told a publication that the film was censored by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). He also said that he will cooperate with the investigation and his lawyers will respond to the case.

Salman Khan announces Da-Bangg Tour at Expo 2020 in Dubai; Disha Patani, Pooja Hegde, Sonakshi Sinha, Aayush Sharma among others join the line-up

Da-Bangg Tour, the biggest Bollywood tour, is back on the track and Salman Khan has headed to Dubai to perform at Expo 2020 Dubai on Friday, February 25. The star-studded tour performance will be taking place at Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Stadium.

Disha Patani, Sonakshi Sinha, Pooja Hegde, Saiee Manjrekar, Aayush Sharma, singers Guru Randhawa and Kamaal Khan and Maniesh Paul have joined the star-studded line-up. Salman Khan shared the poster on Wednesday along with the announcement that read, "Da-Bangg The Tour - Reloaded is coming to Expo 2020 Dubai on 25th February 2022. Book your tickets now."

Last year, in Riyadh, Shilpa Shetty had joined the line-up for the performances.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan will soon wrap up the shoot for Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif. He has an array of line-up including Bhaijaan and Kick 2.

Anushka Sharma trains for Chakda Xpress before heading to UK for a month long schedule

Anushka Sharma is making her return to the movies after her pregnancy with a film titled Chakda Xpress, inspired by the life and times of India’s most decorated women cricketer Jhulan Goswami. A fast bowler, Goswami holds the world record for the highest number of wickets in an international career.

Chakda Xpress traces Jhulan’s inspirational journey as she moves up the ladder despite the hindrances posed by misogynistic politics to fulfill her dream of playing cricket for India. She succeeded in her goal and went on to captain the Indian women’s national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring cricketers in the country. In 2018, an Indian postage stamp was issued in her honour.

Given the stature of Jhulan as a sporting icon in the country, it looks like all efforts are being made to make Chakda Xpress the grandest tribute that a woman sports star has ever got on celluloid. A trade source from the industry reveals all details. “Chakda Xpress will have a very important shooting schedule in the UK as no stone will be unturned to make this film the biggest sporting film on a woman sports icon of India. Anushka is expected to shoot in the UK for close to a month! When was the last time you heard a sports film based on an Indian woman have a 30 day production schedule in England? Never!” informs the source.

The source adds, “Chakda Xpress is looking to change the discourse of how sports film based on women should be mounted in India. This always happens to an Anushka Sharma Project. Whenever she comes onboard a film, she wants to set a benchmark and aims to shatter set industry stereotypes. This also subtly indicates that Anushka wants to dish out the grandest tribute to the biggest women cricketing icon of our country. There can be no half measures when you set out with a vision this lofty.”

With Chakda Xpress, Anushka wants to make audiences understand how she feels women protagonists should be presented in Indian cinema today, our source claims. “Look at Anushka’s body of work. Jackson Wang's agency shuts down dating rumours with (G)I-DLE member Yuqi; police complaint filed to protect his legal interests

Global popstar Jackson Wang, known as a soloist from China and a rapper in K-pop group GOT7, has shut down all the dating rumors involving him with K-pop female group (G)I-DLE member Yuqi. In a statement released by his company RYCE Entertainment in Mandarin, it was made clear that the video compilations circulating on social media by the paparazzi twisted the truth and it is not unusual for his friends to gather at his residence. The agency also stated that they have filed a police report to protect his legal interests.

According to the statement, translated by a fanclub, it stated that independent media "took advantage of the influence of our artist Jackson Wang and consecutively posted videos that were cut and pasted together to deliberately distort facts. Words such as "spending the night at," "roses," two pretty women': "sent to Jackson Wang's home;' "I shan't elaborate, you guys can imagine," were used to maliciously mislead the public and netizens into developing a misunderstanding of Jackson Wang and to attract attention to achieve his ulterior motives. It is common to have gatherings with friends at Jackson Wang's home and it is nothing out of the ordinary. The actions of this independent media have violated the privacy of Jackson Wang and have also severely violated his reputation."

According to the reports on China's social networking platform Weibo, videos began to surface online alleging that (G)I-DLE's Yuqi was spotted visiting Jackson's home sometime in late 2021. It was also reported that she was seen leaving the next day carrying roses and was accompanied by her staff. It was a trending topic on Weibo and soon made it to several other social media platforms including Twitter.

Meanwhile, Jackson Wang has been busy with his work life. He will feature in a track on artist Amber Liu's upcoming album. His last song was released in January 2022 titled ‘Wang Jiaer Jackson Wang’. On the other hand, Yuqi is prepping for the March comeback album with (G)I-DLE.

Congress MLA Amin Patel moves Bombay High Court urging to drop names 'Kamathipura' & 'Kathiawadi' from Gangubai Kathiawadi

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt is just a few days away from the theatrical release. While social media is abuzz, the film continues to land in legal troubles. This time, Maharashtra Congress MLA Amin Patel has filed a petition in Bombay High Court to change the name of the film and remove words, alleging it shows Kamathipura as a red-light area and the Kathiawadi community in poor light. The hearing for the same will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

According to News18, the petition said, “If the movie is allowed to be released with the name Kamathipura, then it would cause harm and disrespect to the residents, especially women."

A resident of Kamathipura, Shradha Surve, had filed a petition mentioning before a division bench of Justices Gautam Patel and Madhav Jamdar on Tuesday, seeking urgent hearing since the film arrives in theatres on February 25, 2022. Similarly, Congress MLA Amin Patel filed a petition raising similar objections before a division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice M S Karnik. The plea urged the bench to change the name to Mayapuri or Mayanagri and claimed that “not even five percent of the Kamathipura area is active in prostitution."

BTS gear up for four night Las Vegas stadium residency in April 2022 after Seoul concerts in March

Pop Titans BTS announced today that ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LAS VEGAS' would be held on April 8, 9, 15, and 16.

‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LAS VEGAS' will take place at Allegiant Stadium in front of a live audience. Additionally, the in-person live broadcast event “LIVE PLAY in LAS VEGAS” will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena on all four days. The concert will also be streamed online on the last day of the tour on April 16. Registration to purchase tickets for the new dates will begin now through Saturday, February 26th at 5pm PT.

This is approximately four months after the band performed in LA for 'BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA' in late November and early December last year.

Last week, BTS announced dates for ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - SEOUL’ which would mark the band’s first in-person concerts in Korea since October 2019. The Seoul concerts will be held at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 10, 12, and 13.
