Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal test covid positive?

Just yesterday Bollywood Hungama was the first to report that a number of guests from Karan Johar’s 50^th birthday bash had tested Covid positive. While the names of attendees who tested positive were unknown, a few celebrities who coincidentally were at Karan’s bash have reportedly been tested covid positive. In fact, Kartik Aaryan, who was all set to perform at IIFA 2022, took to his Instagram handle expressing his displeasure of not being able to attend the event due to Covid. Now the grapevine is abuzz with news of three more big names falling prey to the virus.

If reports are to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have all three been tested Covid positive. While there is no confirmation of the same, Shah Rukh Khan was absent from the IIFA 2022 weekend, on the other hand Vicky Kaushal did make an appearance at the awards function raising questions on whether he tested positive after returning. As for Katrina Kaif, reports state that the actress has in fact tested covid positive due to which the shoot schedule for her film Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi that is directed by Sriram Ragahavan has been rescheduled.

While it remains uncertain whether the three have definitely tested positive, media reports have been abuzz claiming that Karan Johar’s bash turn out to be a massive virus hotspot. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, rumours state that Om: The Battle Within star Aditya Roy Kapoor, who recently unveiled the motion poster of his film, and who was also in attendance at Karan’s bash has tested positive.

World Environment Day Special: NH Studioz announces biopic on Dr. Binish Desai, India’s legendary ‘Recycle Man’

Can a single soul change the planet? A ten year old child thought so, and thus began the inspirational journey of India’s ‘Recycle Man’. Dr. Binish Desai’s life is a path breaking story of determination, and on the occasion of World Environment Day, NH Studioz has announced that it will now bring this powerful tale to the big screen.

The untitled film will be an extensive biopic on Dr. Desai that begins from his childhood and progresses to his experiences as a young environmentalist. NH Studioz has officially secured the rights for the motion picture. Sources close to the team reveal that the makers are looking at a young and rising face for the titular role. This will be Hindi cinema’s first attempt at a film that talks about eliminating waste and building a greener country. Another unique aspect of the project is that it will focus on sustainability, with a carbon negative approach and other responsible measures for the shoot conceptualized by Dr. Desai himself.

Talking about the film, Dr. Binish Desai said, “This movie is for every young kid to know that no matter what your age is or where you come from, if you have an idea go for it. Life is all about failures and how we learn from it to overcome obstacles and make our dreams a reality. My journey is not about what I achieved but the challenges, failures and obstacles that came in the way, may it be losing everything, being on a gunpoint or being called mad for working with waste. Despite facing all of these, a boy was able to follow his dreams and make it a reality”.

Elaborating on why he chose to make this film, producer Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz added, “While the movie is about a young man’s journey towards saving our planet - at its core it is an inspiration for the new gen, as to how one can fulfill dreams at any age even without any means, from the remotest places possible.”

From a ten year old boy with a dream to a man who made that dream come true, Dr. Binish’s life is one that will make every Indian proud. Seems like audiences have a spellbinding biopic to look forward to!

Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadha and other celebs slam a perfume ad for promoting gang-rape culture

In a country where women are still trying to find their foot and where actresses are still fighting for equal pay, sexual harassment and other issues, a certain perfume ad has created uproar. An ad for a perfume brand called ‘SHOT’ recently came under the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Many celebrities, who spotted the ad, took to social media to slammed it and called it a ‘disgusting promotion’ of rape culture. From Priyanka Chopra to Farhan Akhtar along with Richa Chadha, Swara Bhaskar, Sona Mohapatra, has voiced their opinion regarding the cringe-worthy ad.

Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to speak on the ad saying, “Shameful and disgusting. How many levels of clearances did it take for this commercial to be green lit. How many people thought this was ok? I’m so glad that it was called out and now the ministry has taken it down. Appalling!” On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar too added, “What incredibly tasteless and twisted minds it must take to think up, approve and create these stinking body spray ‘gang rape’ innuendo ads..!! Shameful.”

Besides the stars of The Sky Is Pink, actress Richa Chadha said, “This ad is not an accident. To make an ad, a brand goes through several layers of decision making. Creatives, script, agency, client, casting… DOES EVERYONE THINK RAPE IS A JOKE? Revelatory! This brand, the agency that made this ad need to be sued for the filth they’re serving.”  Voicing out a similar opinion was Swara Bhaskar, “A teenage girl was gang raped in Hyderabad-such incidents happen daily in India.. companies like @layerr_shot choose to make TV adverts joking abt & ‘cool-ifying’ rape & gangrape. Kartik Aaryan reveals he tested COVID positive in this cryptic post

With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 rocking at the box office, Kartik Aaryan was all set to rock the stage at IIFA 2022 in Abu Dhabi. But it seems that the actor may not be a part of the grand IIFA 2022 which is being in Yas Island. It has been recently revealed that Kartik has been tested COVID positive. In a cryptic post shared on social media, the actor informed his fans that he is unwell.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo from the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 along with a caption that said, “ab kuch itna Positive chal raha tha, Covid se raha Nahi Gaya ????” Here have a look at the post:

Not too long ago we had reported that Kartik Aaryan would be performing on the IIFA stage along with many other celebrities which included Ananya Panday, Nora Fatehi, Shahid Kapoor among others. But it seems that the actor may have not made it owing to his health conditions.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Shehzada alongside Kriti Sanon which is a remake of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Besides that, he also has Captain India, Satyanarayan Ki Katha in the pipeline.

Jasmin Bhasin to make her Bollywood debut in a Mahesh Bhatt film; will start shoot in July

Jasmin Bhasin started her journey in the entertainment industry with TV shows like Tashan-E-Ishq, Dil Se Dil Tak among others and is known for her bubbly onscreen roles. While she also tried her hands at reality shows such as Bigg Boss and later with music videos, now Jasmin Bhasin is looking at taking the next step in her career with films. Fans of the actress would be aware that she will be making her debut in movies with the film Honeymoon alongside Gippy Grewal. Now reports have it that the actress has signed her Bollywood film and it is with none other than the famous Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt.

Jasmin Bhasin will be making her Bollywood debut. She has signed a film which will be penned by Mahesh Bhatt and presented by Vikram Bhatt and K Sera Sera. Produced by Loneranger and Zee, the untitled film is directed by Manish Chavan, who will be making his directorial debut with this venture. Details of the genre and the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed. Reports have it that the actress will kick off the shoot of the film at the end of July this year.

A source close to the actress confirmed the news adding, “While details of her character etc. are unknown at this juncture, Jasmin will play an interesting role that promises to take her fans by surprise. She is extremely excited to start work on the film and has already started prepping for it.”

As for her film with Gippy Grewal, Honeymoon is slated to be a Diwali release. The film is expected to hit the big screens on October 25, 2022.

Rs. 500 crores riding on Shah Rukh Khan as he returns with three films in 2023 after a four-year hiatus

The last time we saw Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen was in 2018 in the Aanand L Rai film Zero. Since then, though the actor has been missing from the silver screen he has been prepping to make a return with a bang. In fact, just yesterday Shah Rukh Khan finally announced the title of his film with Atlee, Jawan. Interestingly with the announcement, Shah Rukh Khan fans are in for a treat in 2023 with not just one or two but three release viz. Dunki, Pathaan, and Jawan.

Speaking about Shah Rukh Khan featuring in three release in a single year a well-placed industry source says, “With three film in a single year there is a lot riding on SRK right now. Not to mention that all three film are big-ticket Bollywood entertainers mounted on an even bigger budget. Given this there seems to be anywhere upwards of Rs. 300 cr riding on Shah Rukh Khan alone.”

The first film featuring Shah Rukh Khan to hit screens will be the Yash Raj Films venture Pathaan that will hit screens in January. Co-starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi alongside SRK the film is directed by Siddharth Anand, and is expected to start the year with a bang. Set in Mumbai the film is said to be a spy thriller that will keep the audience on edge. Following Pathaan will be the Red Chillies production Jawan that is directed by Atlee is said to be a pan India film that will release in five languages. The film promises to be a spectacular event film with high-octane action sequences and talent assembled from across Indian cinema. Being readied to hit screens in June, Jawan will be SRK’s first Pan India film. Ending 2023 will be Shah Rukh Khan’s last release for the year with Dunki slated to release on December 23. Capitalizing on the Christmas weekend, the film which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani will highlight the rampant use of an illegal backdoor route called 'Donkey Flight' by Indians to immigrate to countries like Canada and USA.

While we can’t wait to watch all three films, 2023 is certainly going to be a bonanza for Shah Rukh Khan with releases scheduled evenly through the year, the actor might just end 2023 as the highest grossing actor of the year.

EXCLUSIVE: Sooryavansham-Set MAX’s LEGENDARY association to end in 2024-25; Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms says “Once the rights lapse, I’ll play the film on Goldmines Bollywood. I am not selling the rights to Set Max again”

One film that has become synonymous with SET MAX, is Sooryavansham. The rights of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer rests with the popular television channel, which plays the film rather repeatedly. This is because Sooryavansham is a cult movie that enjoys widespread viewership. The netizens noticed how this 23-year-old movie gets prominence on Set MAX and soon, jokes and memes about this began spreading like wildfire. Its dialogues and the ‘zehreeli kheer’ scene especially became legendary in the world of memes.

When IPL airs on Set MAX, airing of Sooryavansham’s gets affected. Hence, as soon as IPL would end or is about to end, social media is abuzz with memes and messages that Heera Thakur (the name of one of the characters of Amitabh Bachchan) is making a solid comeback on Set MAX! Manish Shah, of Goldmines Telefilms won the rights of Sooryavansham, in 2020. The first thing he did was upload the film on his very popular Goldmines Telefilms’s YouTube channel. In around 1 ½ years, the film has garnered nearly mind boggling 31 crore views and counting.

Manish Shah’s next step is to air Sooryavansham on his Bollywood TV channel, called Dhinchak Bollywood. In an exclusive interaction with Bollywood Hungama on Sooryavansham’s 23rd anniversary, he revealed, “Sony Entertainment Television holds the satellite rights of Sooryavansham till 2024 or 2025. Once the rights lapse, I’ll play it on my channel, Goldmines Bollywood! I am not selling the rights to SET MAX again.”

Besides Amitabh Bachchan in a double role, the late Soundarya, Jayasudha, Anupam Kher, Kader Khan, Shivaji Satam, Bindu and Mukesh Rishi also star in this film, which is directed by E V V Satyanarayana.
