Salman Khan says he, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar can give young actors run for their money: ‘We are not retiring anytime soon’

Bollywood star Salman Khan on Wednesday was in attendance at the press conference of the 68th Filmfare Awards 2023 where he took a jibe at the young actors. The actor said that the five stars of the industry, including him, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan, can give the young actors a run for their money. At the press conference, Salman Khan was asked who amongst the new lot of stars has impressed him. He said that all of them are hardworking, focused and talented but he and his era of contemporaries won’t be giving up so easily. He said, “We will make them run for their money. We are not retiring anytime soon. Our films also work and so we hike our fees. Seeing that, they also increase their fee even when their films are not working.” Talking about the chatter that Hindi films are not working anymore, he added, “Today filmmakers have a different understanding of India. They feel it’s from Andheri to Colaba. The filmmakers that I have met and interacted; they are too cool. They make that kind of content. However, Hindustan is way different. They start from the east of the railway stations.” “I hope my words don’t come to bite me. Bhari nahi padhna chaiye… People shouldn’t question what kind of a film I have made. It is releasing on April 21 and I hope everyone likes it,” he quipped who is gearing up for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan release. Salman Khan is now gearing up for his Eid release. A Salman Khan Films Production, produced by Salma Khan, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is directed by Farhad Samji. The film stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla,  Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar with all the elements of a Salman Khan film – action, comedy, drama, and romance. Varun Dhawan represents Amazon India as streaming giant joins hands with MIB to boost India's creative economy

Amazon India today announced that it has signed a Letter of Engagement (LoE) with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India, with the objective of growing India’s creative economy. As part of this collaboration, Amazon and MIB will help build pathways to promote creative talent in India, create capacity across eminent film and TV institutes, and globally showcase Made in India creative content. The LoE was signed at The National Media Centre, New Delhi in presence of Hon’ble Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Chetan Krishnaswamy, Vice President Public Policy at Amazon India, Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Prime Video, and Prime Bae Varun Dhawan.  As part of the LoE, Prime Video and miniTV will both work towards providing internships, and scholarships to students at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTII). This will enable students to gain real work exposure and become industry-ready. Additionally, to commemorate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations, iconic content from NFDC, Doordarshan, and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be showcased on Prime Video and miniTV, reaching a vast majority of Indians, furthering its cultural influence and expanding its soft-power.  Furthermore, skill-based masterclasses will be organized for the students of various film and TV institutes and 75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow – an annual talent enrichment program under the umbrella of IFFI where 75 young, talented artists, shortlisted by MIB will be selected and coached. The car is priced at Rs. 89.41 lakh approx. Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana actress Kriti Kharbanda now owns a Range Rover Velar that is white in colour. At the spot, Kriti was papped along with her long-term boyfriend Pulkit Samrat. The couple were all smiles as they headed home back in the new car. Kriti looked fresh as she was spotted in light green sleeveless top with cargo pants. While Pulkit sported a black tee with blue jeans. Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat have also worked together in the films like Veerey Ki Wedding and Pagalpanti among others. However, this is not the first time Kriti has got herself a car. Saiyami Kher to start her cricket show on Cricbuzz titled Match Party

Saiyami Kher has proved herself as a promising actress, thanks to her stints in some movies and web shows. But apart from her passion for acting, she is also known for her deep interest for cricket. There have been photos and videos out from the sets of her films where she is seen playing cricket in between shots. Now, Saiyami is all set to be closer to the game of cricket as she has been roped in by the portal Cricbuzz to start her own cricket series titled Match Party. Interestingly, in her upcoming movie Ghoomer, Saiyami will be playing the character of a left-handed cricket prodigy. Directed by R Balki, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan in a pivotal role. SCOOP: Pushpa: The Rule – Part 2 to add a Bollywood superstar in the cast

The Allu Arjun blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 took the box office by storm. Titled Pushpa: The Rule – Part 2, the sequel is now being written, or we shall re-written, as the screenplay for both part 1 and part 2 was completed simultaneously. But here is the update. The screenplay now being finalized by director Sukumar has been modified to include one major Bollywood A-lister, preferably one of the Khans, or Ajay Devgan, if not somebody else. The sequel would not only have far superior production values than the first film, its budget is also almost twice than what it was for the first film. There were rumours of one Bollywood actor (Arjun Kapoor) playing the villain in Pushpa 2. This was a baseless promotional idle talk. Fahadh Faasil is the archvillain in the sequel to Pushpa. But yes, one major Bollywood A-lister will join Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2. Sources say that the A-lister will be seen in an extended cameo, like Salman Khan with Chiranjeevi in the recent Telugu film Godfather. Jr NTR joins Hrithik Roshan in War 2

The ambitious spy universe of YRF is all set to get pan India in terms of casting. As per current reports, joining the world would be none other than RRR fame Jr NTR. The actor is expected to cast alongside Hrithik Roshan in War 2. While readers would be aware that the sequel to the action entertainer has always been on the cards, it seems that Aditya Chopra has now decided to tap into the South market and has decided to add some renowned names from the film industry to add to the Pan India appeal. As per recent reports, a trade source was quoted saying, “Yes, it’s absolutely correct information. NTR Jr. is locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in War 2 and it’s going to be an epic action adventure.
