The Gray Man sequel starring Ryan Gosling in the works; Russo Brothers also developing a spin-off

Following the immensely successful release of The Gray Man this weekend, where it debuted as the No. 1 movie in 92 countries, Netflix is cementing plans for the IP to become a major spy franchise. A sequel to The Gray Man, is now in development with star Ryan Gosling and directors Joe and Anthony Russo set to return. The Russos and AGBO’s Mike Larocca will produce along with Joe Roth and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum Films. The Gray Man co-writer Stephen McFeely is writing.

A spin-off film, written by acclaimed screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Deadpool, Zombieland) is set to explore a different element of The Gray Man universe. The logline is being kept under wraps. The Gray Man is based on the best-selling book series by Mark Greaney.

The Gray Man is the third film from AGBO to premiere on Netflix, and the company’s second consecutive debut at #1 worldwide, with a sequel to follow. AGBO's, 2020’s Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth, [is the 5th most popular film on Netflix] has a sequel to be released on Netflix in 2023.

Talking about the development of the sequel, Joe and Anthony Russo shared, “The audience reaction to The Gray Man has been nothing short of phenomenal. We are so appreciative of the enthusiasm that fans across the world have had for this film. With so many amazing characters in the movie, we had always intended for the Gray Man to be part of an expanded universe, and we are thrilled that Netflix is announcing a sequel with Ryan, as well as a second script that we’re excited to talk about soon.”

Scott Stuber, Head of Global Film at Netflix, shared, "With The Gray Man, the Russos delivered an edge-of-your-seat spectacle that audiences around the world are loving. We're excited to continue to partner with them and the team at AGBO as they build out The Gray Man universe."

EXCLUSIVE: Huma Qureshi, Mrunal Thakur to star in Dinesh Vijan's next production Pooja Meri Jaan

Huma Qureshi is set to reunite with Dinesh Vijan. The actress will star in Maddock Films' next production Pooja Meri Jaan. With the announcement, July has exciting things in store for Huma Qureshi. This marks her second collaboration with Dinesh Vijan after Badlapur. The film will be directed by Navjot Gulati and co-directed by Vipasha Arvind. The actress is looking forward to this month as she celebrates her birthday on July 28.

In an announcement video filled with thrilling intrigue, we see a “not so innocent” proposal dedicated to Pooja, where an admirer gives her the choice to either say yes, or see him become history! What happens next? What will Pooja do? The Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik production leaves us guessing right till the very end!

Boasting of a stellar star cast that features Huma Qureshi, Mrunal Thakur, Vikram Singh Chauhan and Vijay Raaz the film has now wrapped shoot. The film has been directed by Navjot Gulati, co-directed by Vipasha Arvind and written by Kanishka & Navjot Gulati.

The teaser of Maharani season 2 was out earlier this month and there is lot of buzz and excitement for the new season. "It’s a working birthday for me and I love it. Honestly, I’ve worked throughout this last year and I am really grateful for that. Looking forward to keep being busier and happier, " says Huma Qureshi.

Besides Maharani Season 2, Huma has a series of releases this year from Double XL to Monica O My Darling and Tarla Dalal.

Woah! Salman Khan announces No Entry sequel post Bhaijaan at Vikrant Rona event

Salman Khan recently left everyone surprised with his entry on stage during the Vikrant Rona event. The superstar, who is presenting this Kichcha Sudeepa, Jacqueline Fernandez starrer, made an interesting revelation while interacting with the media. During the conversation with media, the superstar may have announced that he would kick off No Entry 2 after wrapping up Bhaijaan.

While many actors in the past have revealed details about No Entry sequel including director Anees Bazmee, it was also being said that considering the work commitments of Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor, it was getting tough to adjust the shoot schedules. Although Anees Bazmee had revealed in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, that Salman may be considering kicking off No Entry 2 in December, it seems that the superstar used the Vikrant Rona event platform to drop a major hint about starting the shoot for the comedy.

He not only invited Anees Bazmee to the Vikrant Rona event but also added, “Yahan par aise writer director baite hain… Rs.100 100 crore ki hit de raha hai aadmi, woh bhi comedy mein… kal No Entry Mein bhi deyega … 300 crore.” (There is a writer-director here… he is giving Rs. 100 100 crore hits, and that too in comedy. He will give one with No Entry too. It will be Rs. 300 crores). His statement seems to have become an affirmation of sorts where it is being said that the actor will kick off the Anees Bazmee directorial No Entry 2 (Sequel) as soon as he finishes the shoot of Bhaijaan (Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali).

Coming to Vikrant Rona, readers would be aware that it is a multi-lingual fantasy adventure drama starring Kichcha Sudeepa as the leading man along with Jacqueline Fernandez and other actors playing pivotal roles. The Hindi dubbed version of the film will be distributed by Salman under his banner Salman Khan Films. Besides Hindi and its original Kannada, the Anup Bhandari directorial will also release in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Complaint filed against Ranveer Singh for his nude photoshoot; NGO claims it hurt sentiments of women

Not too long ago, Ranveer Singh took the internet by storm by doing a bold photoshoot for the Paper magazine. The actor, who is often known for his quirky sense of style, posed naked for the magazine cover and while his female fans couldn’t stop swooning over his avatar, it seems that an NGO has taken offense to the photoshoot. In fact, a complaint has been registered against the actor for hurting the sentiments of women.

According to ANI reports, an NGO has submitted a complaint against the naked photoshoot of Ranveer Singh at Chembur Police Station. As per the complainant, the Bajirao Mastani actor should be charged under various sections of IPC (Indian Penal Code) as well as the Information Technology Act for the photoshoot, as they also added that it hurt the sentiments of women and insulted their modesty. However, a Chembur police official was quoted saying to these reports that they have not registered an FIR against the actor until now and that they are still in the process of an investigation. “We received an application from a person associated with an NGO on Monday. No FIR is registered so far. We are enquiring," said the official.

Ranveer Singh was seen posing naked for the Paper magazine over a Turkish carpet and the photos of the same were shared on the official Instagram handle to the actor too. While his fans and his colleagues from the industry have extended their support to the actor and called it a brave move, there are many who felt that the photos were indecent.

Fardeen Khan and mother-in-law Mumtaz to feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi

Fardeen Khan’s comeback seems to be finally happening. Not only has he completed a Sanjay Gupta production (directed by Kookie Gulati) Fardeen is also now the first major male actor to sign up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘chick flick’ Heeramandi. Fardeen plays the love interest of one of the sex workers in Bhansali’s brothel saga.

Says a source close to the development, “It is not a negligible role. Just because Heeramandi has the women characters at the forefront, it is being presumed that the men have very little to do. Not true. Fardeen has a substantial role. He has been working on his accent and body language for some time now. He is very excited about working with Bhansali for the first time.”

Fardeen has already started shooting for Heeramandi. Interestingly Fardeen’s mother-in-law the legendary Mumtaz also plays a stellar part in Heeramandi.

Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, Boman Irani set to release on November 11, 2022

Major news broke on Rajshri Productions’ social media platforms today, as they announced the release date of their 60th film – Uunchai, directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya. Slated to release on November 11, 2022, Uunchai will release in the diamond jubilee year of the iconic production house, marking its 75 years of establishment.

Uunchai will bring to screen, a veteran star cast in a never seen before ensemble. Headlined by Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Sarika with Parineeti Chopra, Nafisa Ali Sodhi and Danny Denzongpa in pivotal roles, Uunchai is director Sooraj R. Barjatya’s next offering.

Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Late Rajkumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri have joined forces with Mahaveer Jain of Mahaveer Jain Films and Natasha Malpani Oswal of Boundless Media as producers for this ambitious project.

Uunchai finished its principal shooting earlier this year. The film was extensively shot in Nepal, Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur. It marks director Sooraj R. Barjatya’s return to the big screen after 7 years. Like all Rajshri films, taking the legacy of wholesome entertainment forward, Uunchai promises to be a complete family entertainer.

Karan Johar officially announces Screw Dheela starring Tiger Shroff; to be helmed Shashank Khaitan, see action packed film announcement

After teasing the announcement on Sunday, filmmaker Karan Johar has officially announced Screw Dheela starring Tiger Shroff in the lear role with speculations around Rashmika Mandanna cast opposite him. The film is being helmed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions.

Karan on Monday took to social media to make the announcement and wrote, "Arriving with a solid punch of entertainment, super excited to present Tiger Shroff in #ScrewDheela, directed by Shashank Khaitan in an all new world of action!!!💥" The video was Tiger Shroff flaunting his action skills fighting some goons.

A source close to Bollywood Hungama earlier revealed that the film will be shot in India and abroad with the first schedule expected to kick off in Europe. Both Tiger and Rashmika will be a part of this schedule. "It's not one of those run of the mill actioner but has a strong story too and falls in the zone that Tiger has not explored before. The film will be released by mid 2023," the source further told us. A big ensemble, including the antagonist, is in the process of being cast for Screw Dheela.

Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff has Baaghi 4 with Ahmed Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will star in Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan, Mission Majnu and Animal. Shashank Khaitan is directing Bedhadak starring Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada.

Dharma Productions' other films in the pipeline include Liger, Brahmastra, Govinda Naam Mera, Mr. Aur Mrs. Mahi and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
